Kind of like, "all-american" in a job listing. If you did indeed make an innocent mistake,if indeed you are that uninformed, i hope that threat of fine has sensitized you to issues we as renters go through all the time with crappy landlords. My experience is that landlords do not like to be called on their discriminatory preferences, that they see their buildings as mini-fiefdoms and it just raises their hackles something fierce whenever someone reminds them that they are actually answerable to someone outside of their bank. Maybe this housing rights agency acted before they had enough on you, but my sympathies lie with them because our skewed laws make it hard as hell to prove discrimination in any arena, employment, housing, whatever... landlords setting themselves up as victims (like you are trying to do) is LAUGHABLE! oh, you poor baby! NOT. My son is serving 68 months in Federal prison because his best friend was a confidential informant and he set him up.
